About Mari Nagatomi: Originally from Kyoto, Japan, Mari moved to Nashville in 2004. Mari grew up surrounded by traditional country music, which influenced her at early age. Mari's debut album, "Hear My Heart" was recorded in Nashville and released in 2001. Japanese language EP, "Futari No Ongaku", was produced in 2003 and sold exclusively in Japan. Mari's father, Kenji Nagatomi, is also a country singer and a devoted fan of the music. Jim Lauderdale and Cassandra Willson are Mari's musical heroes; she loves Jim's song, "Midnight Will Become Day". Mari's favorite albums are: Jim Lauderdale's "Humming Bird" and Cassandra Willson's "New Moon Daughter." Mari writes songs in both English and Japanese. Mari plays Piano and Guitar.
